What makes the flying look so DOPE? Let’s break down the polish that makes this happen. E3 has recently finished and one of the main focuses of the EA conference was giving us more information about Biowares new game Anthem.
In this video we go through three parts of the design of the flying. The launch, generally flying around and the differences between the classes. All this information comes from the e3 game play reveal trailer showed at the end of the EA show.
We dive into things like screen shake, blur effects, particle effects, how trail renderers are used to show the path of the Javelin and much more. We also look at some of the applications of animation and camera effects that are more subtly applied throughout the trailer.
For the game design or game development viewer, this will be a good video for showing the different things you can do to polish your game so that it feels good and a good example of how much polish is layered onto a AAA game.
